Brandon and I decided we were going to celebrate Emma's 1st birthday in Orlando with all of our friends and family and we had such a blast! Not only did we celebrate Emma's birthday, but we also celebrated Christmas and Easter. Emma got Christmas gifts on Friday, birthday gifts on Saturday and the Easter Bunny brought her gifts on Sunday! We kept teasing that she was going to get confused and would expect a gift on Monday just because it was Monday!
Some people don't know that we almost didn't make it home. Brandon got sick a couple of days before we left for our trip and he went to the doctor, but it wasn't anything serious even though he had a small fever. So we packed, left for our long trip and once we got to Chattanooga we discovered that Emma had a small fever too. We debated turning around and going home, but we talked to the doctor and decided to monitor her fever. It was, needless to say, the LONGEST road trip of our life!!!!! I'm not exaggerating when I say that Emma cried the last 150 miles of the trip, but then decided that she was tired and tried to sleep in the last 3 miles!!
So we finally made it to Orlando and we had such a wonderful little vacation! Unfortunately, our trip came to an end all too soon, but luckily our trip back was a good one, since Emma slept for most of it.
It was so great to see everyone. Thank you so much for coming to Emma's birthday party and for all the awesome presents!!
Ok, do I have the most beautiful granddaughter, family, and friends in the world? Well let me just answer that with a big YES. What a lucky woman (Nonna) I am.
