Video of Emma Cracking Up

Hi everyone! I got Emma cracking up today by simply mimicking a noise and gesture that she always does. For some reason she thought it was pretty funny. That laugh of hers is pretty infectious and we can't help but laugh and smile with her. Hope you enjoy this as much as we did!

Also, here is a video of Emma eating carrots yesterday, her first non-milk food.

Emma's Trick-or-Treat Bag

Okay, so as promised, I am posting the pictures of the Halloween trick-or-treat bag that I made for Emma. I found it worthy for a post! I worked really, really hard on it and I think it came out really beautiful! It is 100% Anna, I didn't have a pattern and I just bought stuff that I liked. I didn't end up using a couple of the things I bought, since I think it would have been too much. I found a font on the computer that I liked, blew it up and used it for Emma's name and I also found silhouettes of the pumpkin, cat and witch online. After carefully cutting everything out, I sewed it all to my bag finishing it about 12:30 last night. I had to finish it, I was too close! It took me the week to make it. I hope Emma loves it as much as I do when she gets older!

Where Have The Last 5 Months Gone?

I can't believe Emma is already 5 months old! It makes me so sad that everyone in Orlando is missing out on her at this age and I'm even more sad that she is missing out on everyone that I love so much. It's so much harder living this far away now that we have a baby.
Well, I'm sure this month is going to fly by just like the last 4 have, so here is what's going on with us before we hit the next milestone...
On the night of September 11th, for the first time, Emma slept a full 11 hours in a row and didn't wake up until 8am! I was so happy!! I forgot how it feels to sleep all the through night and I'm still wondering because even though she slept that long, I continued to wake up through the night waiting and wondering when she would be crying for a bottle! On top of it all, I'm having such a hard time trying to dry up my breast milk. That wakes me up more than Emma in the middle of the night. I'm going on 2 weeks now that I officially 'quit' pumping, but the milk just keeps on flowing and the engorgement is no joke! Boy does this hurt!!
We have finally gotten our cooler weather and have been enjoying as much time as we can outside. Emma loves to be outside.
Papa Jean and Mimi Nancy also invited us to spend the evening at their Huntsville Ski Club membership party. It was in the park at Ditto Landing and the Tennessee River flows right through it. It was such a beautiful afternoon and Nancy, the great photographer that she is, took some beautiful family pictures for us. I'm always playing with my camera that they bought for me so, of course, I took some pictures as well.
And lastly, that little tongue of hers is always hanging out.

I'm sure there will be more to post before we reach Emma's 6 month birthday, so stay tuned.
I will be making a trick-or-treat bag for Emma for Halloween, I just bought everything today. Depending how it turns out, I will post some pictures of it on here. ;0)
   Love and miss everyone!
