Where Have The Last 5 Months Gone?

I can't believe Emma is already 5 months old! It makes me so sad that everyone in Orlando is missing out on her at this age and I'm even more sad that she is missing out on everyone that I love so much. It's so much harder living this far away now that we have a baby.
Well, I'm sure this month is going to fly by just like the last 4 have, so here is what's going on with us before we hit the next milestone...
On the night of September 11th, for the first time, Emma slept a full 11 hours in a row and didn't wake up until 8am! I was so happy!! I forgot how it feels to sleep all the through night and I'm still wondering because even though she slept that long, I continued to wake up through the night waiting and wondering when she would be crying for a bottle! On top of it all, I'm having such a hard time trying to dry up my breast milk. That wakes me up more than Emma in the middle of the night. I'm going on 2 weeks now that I officially 'quit' pumping, but the milk just keeps on flowing and the engorgement is no joke! Boy does this hurt!!
We have finally gotten our cooler weather and have been enjoying as much time as we can outside. Emma loves to be outside.
Papa Jean and Mimi Nancy also invited us to spend the evening at their Huntsville Ski Club membership party. It was in the park at Ditto Landing and the Tennessee River flows right through it. It was such a beautiful afternoon and Nancy, the great photographer that she is, took some beautiful family pictures for us. I'm always playing with my camera that they bought for me so, of course, I took some pictures as well.
And lastly, that little tongue of hers is always hanging out.

I'm sure there will be more to post before we reach Emma's 6 month birthday, so stay tuned.
I will be making a trick-or-treat bag for Emma for Halloween, I just bought everything today. Depending how it turns out, I will post some pictures of it on here. ;0)
   Love and miss everyone!

Emma's 4 Month Adventures

Miss Emma has been doing all kinds of new things since her 4 month birthday! She actually had a doctor visit on the same day to get her second round of shots. Boo...I was so sad! Anyways, they had me fill out a paper asking to circle 'yes' or 'no' for things she might be doing. Well, I swear, for everything I circled 'No' to, she started doing it the very next day!
Since I'm still pumping, we don't go out a whole lot during the week. Luckily, I only have a few more days left!!!! I'm so happy, breastfeeding/pumping is so much worse than pregnancy and labor combined!! I never thought it would hurt so bad! So, since we stay home a lot, I have a ton of time to take great pictures of our little princess. Here is what she has been up to this month...

Emma & Daddy picked a HUGE cucumber that we grew in our garden. It was longer than her!

She loves to suck on her bottom lip.

She has started reaching for toys or anything that is offered to her.

She found her feet and she plays with them ALL THE TIME! :0)

She started rolling onto her belly all by herself!

She can sit in her Bumbo chair.

She loves talking to this bird.

Fingers are really tasty!

And when ever I go to take pictures she just stares at the camera, no matter the angle.

"Jumper" Girl

Our little Emma Grace is getting more beautiful as each day goes by! She is so much fun and we are amazed by her everyday. She is starting to develop such a little personality. She has started smiling at EVERYTHING, she's making all kinds of noises and she just giggled for us the first time this week!
I find myself pulling out the camera for any funny, unique or even just normal thing she might do. I'm so thankful for all of this great technology so that I can share everything that's going on here with all my family and friends back home.

In the past couple of weeks, Emma has been doing really well balancing her head and body, so this week pulled out the Jumper that her cool Uncle Tony bought for her. There are so many neat gadgets on it she doesn't know where to look first!
I can't believe how big she is already. It feels like we just brought her home from the hospital yesterday. All I can say is that we are enjoying every moment with our little lady. We never knew we could love something so much!
