Nursery Update

   So, Mom has been begging me to put up some pictures of the nursery since I had to move some furniture around. We had to make some room for the crib, which we don't have yet and won't get because they are out of stock...I'm so sad, it was perfect. So, now I have to find a new crib and I only have 46 days to go!
   Anyways, I've finally decorated the full bed and brought in some pink things here and there. I have a little more shopping to do and a lot more stuff to organize, but I'll post more pictures as it comes along.


   Hope you all like it so far...we LOVE it!!!

  

Nursery Furniture

   Hi all! We've finally finished and moved the furniture into the nursery. I'm so excited that I have to share it with everyone! We even hung the curtains that my mom made before ironing them since we were so anxious to see what it was going to look like! There is still so much to do and put together, but it looks so beautiful already. We just ordered the baby crib, so hopefully it will be here soon!
   In other news, I had another doctors appointment on Tuesday. Everything still looks good and is normal and even better...I only gained 2 pounds since the last visit!! That makes a total of 29 pounds gained so far.
   Also, everyone can plan on Emma Grace being here no later than April 12th. My doctor is going out of town, so she will definitely be born before Doc goes on vacation!

Baby Shower for Emma Grace

   We had such a wonderful time at our baby shower! We couldn't have asked for anything better and we got to see everyone that we love and their faces as we told them we were naming our baby girl Emma Grace! The only bad thing was that we had to turn around so soon and go back home.
   I should have taken a photo of the truck and trailer, but I promise you, we couldn't fit another diaper in it if we tried...That car was loaded!!
   Well, now that we are back home, we are going to try to finish the furniture for Emma Grace's nursery this weekend. I'm dying to get the stuff in there so I can decorate!!!!

10 Weeks and Counting...

   Well, I'm a couple of days late again at updating my blog. We had a pretty busy day on Friday and actually this whole weekend we have been really focused on getting ready for Baby Girl.
   My visit with Dr. Aguayo on Friday went well. Aside from coming down with a cold or something like it, everything still looks good and my glucose/blood test came back normal. I gained 4 more pounds in the past 2 weeks, but she said my weight is exactly where it needs to be.
   After our visit, we went and toured the maternity ward of Crestwood Hospital where she will be born and we also registered, so we are all set to go. I have to admit...I'm starting to freak out!!  I can't believe I'm only 10 weeks away from meeting our daughter!
   So, when I said 'we are all set to go', I didn't really mean that. We still have to put the nursery together. We finished painting it and we just finished priming the furniture. We actually just got back from Lowes to buy a paint sprayer...yeah, we gave in, but it will be sooooooo much easier to paint ALL that furniture this way. Plus, we are headed down to Orlando on Thursday, so we are going to lose a couple of weekends of painting.
   We are so excited to see everyone at our baby shower this weekend!! Enjoy some pictures we took today until then.

Glucose Test Is Done

   I've been working a lot, so I'm 2 days late in posting a blog on my latest doctors appointment. I went on Friday to take my Glucose test to find out if I have gestational diabetes, I have no idea what the results were or when I will get them. All I know is, that stuff they make you drink is GROSS!! On another note, I only gained 5 pounds this past month. I was actually more worried about finding out my weight than I was having my blood drawn again. So far I have gained 23 pounds and as of today I have exactly 12 weeks to go! I can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going by.
   Things are finally starting to come together. Brandon and I have finally set up our baby registry at Babies R Us and we have just started working on getting her room and furniture painted. I started putting some of the yellow paint on the walls last night and I can't wait to see this finished product today! Mom helped me over Christmas and we went and bought all of the fabrics for her room. The only thing I have partially done is the quilt that I made for her. Mom is making me the bumper pads, curtains, bed skirt, the glider covers and whatever else we can think of.
   As for baby girl, she is kicking me more and more every day. At this point you don't even need to put your hand on my belly to feel it, you can see my belly moving all over the place. My belly is also getting bigger and bigger, but I have no signs of stretch marks, so hopefully I won't have any.
   My doctor appointments are now going to be every 2 weeks, so my next one is on January 28th and then we can't wait to come home for the baby shower and see everyone!!! We love and miss you all so much more than you know!!

  

Gaining Weight!!

   I almost fell off of the scale today at my doctors appointment. I gained 10 pounds in 6 weeks! That's a total of 18 pounds so far. I don't know if I'll be able to stop at the 25 pound weight gain that I hoped to hit and not exceed. Ohhh well...Baby Girl is healthy and so am I and that's all that matters.
   My next appointment is on January 14th. I have my glucose test on that visit to determine if I have gestational diabetes. Every pregnant woman has this test done in their second trimester, so I'm not too worried. They make me drink this sweet stuff and then take my blood an hour later. She said it sort of tastes like the melted part of those pop-sickles that are frozen in plastic that you push up to eat. Brandon is a little jealous and asked the doctor if he could have one too! I haven't taken a good belly picture in the past couple of weeks, but here is one from Thanksgiving week in Marco Island. The belly gets a little bigger every day.
